This NAIDOC Week, we are proudly launching our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
Reconciliation is about strengthening relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.
A RAP outlines goals and timelines of how organisations can bring cultural education to a workplace and encourage diversity.
With close to three million people now working or studying in an organisation with a RAP, the programs potential for impact is greater than ever.
As one of our region’s largest employers, we’re committed to actively contributing to the reconciliation movement.
We’ve worked with our communities to develop our RAP to ensure that we get these first steps right and can deliver a truly authentic approach that aligns with our values. Featured throughout the RAP document is commissioned artwork by local Indigenous artist, Maree Bisby, which captures our shared values and represents our commitment to the entire community.
Over the next 12 months, we’ll be building on our existing commitments to bring our RAP to life and advance reconciliation across our organisation.
